Entrance Requirements

130 Hour (DAY) Multimedia OR Crash Course to Beauty 1 & 2 MULTIMEDIA Courses ($5995.00)

Complete the enrollment process for our 130-Hour (DAY) 4-week Multimedia Course or the Crash Course 1 & 2 60-Hour Course (Evenings/Weekends) Multimedia Course by submitting the following:

  • Artist Assessment Interview/Tour
  • Artist Enrollment Application Form
  • Copy of Current Driver’s License or State ID
  • Submit $200 Enrollment Deposit for Multimedia Courses
  • Signed Parental Consent Release Form for 17 Year Olds
  • Final Balance of $5795.00 is due 4 weeks prior to any class start

Applicants must be fluent in English and free from physical handicaps that would prevent them from working as a makeup artist.

Deposit Amount Disclosure

The $200. Enrollment deposit applies towards the total cost of tuition. In this case $3995.00 is for course, while $2000.00 is for kit. Faces Etc of MN does not sell kits or makeup products. A full working Kit is part of the Multimedia Courses only. This working Kit is required for taking either Multimedia course!

Payment Requirements

Students are required to secure their own funding for programs. We accept major credit cards, checks, money orders, or cash as methods of payment. All tuition must be paid in full four (4) weeks prior to the start date of the program. If not received, the student may not begin class (applies to both the 130 hour and cc2b courses).unless other arrangements are made for late enrollments!

Faces Etc of MN is a Licensed Post-Secondary Career School, however, there is no Financial Aid options for this education. Additional Financial outlets for funding would be; securing a private loan through your Bank or Credit Union which typically offer lower interest rates. Students can also check out Student Credit Cards online, which offer lower rates for students in school.

NOTE: Your application is a legal and binding contract, and all school policies and procedures apply. Any outside loans are the sole responsibility of the student.

Enrollment Process

Our enrollment is limited to 6 students in Day course, to ensure the quality of the training, and personal one –on-one time. Prospective students may be interviewed to assess their initial practical pre-instruction ability to comprehend and understand, and apply cosmetic products.

Set up an interview with the admissions representative to see if this career path is the right fit for you. At which time an acceptance or rejection letter will be issued.

If you receive an acceptance letter into the program, you may complete the enrollment process by submitting your completed application form and $200.Enrollment fee.

Admission is at the discretion of the director, who chooses the best qualified applicants for this elite training program for this advanced and fast paced program! Applicants must possess a strong self-motivation, and passion for this industry. Our 130 hour Day courses, and are limited to 6 students per session which run bi-monthly.

Crash Course 1 & 2, are private tutoring one-on-one training. This course is available to start any month year round.

Our multimedia makeup artistry training requires no pre-requisites, and no equivalent program elsewhere applies Credits from this school, cannot be transferred elsewhere.

Regular Monitoring

All students are monitored in their daily work and given both verbal and written assessments to monitor their retention, progress and development in training. Reviewing work in real time allows for the student to best grasp the intricate ability of using high quality HD products in this career.

Course and Career Guidance

Care is given to ensure students understand the seriousness of the course. They will also gain the benefits available upon graduation, to come and sit for Instructors in future classes and get a refresher on topic. Students may have access to guidance, job offers, as well as career insights pursuit and development.

We do not guarantee a career in this industry; all graduates are considered freelance artists. There is no job placement through the school. All graduates are considered self-employed. However those that excel in the multimedia courses will have access to a private work alumni page.

Graduation Information and Makeup Credential

  • As a valid and prestigious licensed career school, we can award the Professional Multi Media Makeup Credential recognized in the State of Minnesota to graduates who meet the criteria. There is no makeup license for this education.
  • No credit is awarded for advanced standing prior to work background or previous skills and experience.

130-Hour Day Course

The professional kit for this course includes a full airbrush system, products, and machine. We also have mandatory requirements for the program, including:

Don’t get a bunch of items you don’t need in a kit but the ones you can rely on as a working professional. As an artist, you may not know exactly what colors, textures, products, and tools you may need in a kit, but we do!

We have hand-selected kits to give you every single thing you will need to begin working extensively in this career. They are the same proven and tested kits we use ourselves to ensure you never show up for work without what you need to do the job.

Our non-refundable kits are issued to students on the first day of class. Once distributed, they become the property of the student for state sanitation purposes.

A Faces Etc of MN t-shirt must be worn in class and any special group event that we sponsor. Additional shirt is available for $30.

Advanced Classes for Beauty Salon Professionals

While many of our alumni are licensed beauty professionals, some stylists may never wish to do makeup outside the salon. If that is you, we offer courses to support your career goals.

We have one-day educational classes for professionals who want to gain additional knowledge in a particular area of makeup artistry. The cost of these courses varies depending on the class subject.

Homework Fee

Up to a $30.00 fee for a makeup morgue is required to complete the 130-Hour day course, and is the sole responsibility of the enrollee.

Advanced Classes for Beauty Salon Professionals

While many of our alumni are licensed beauty professionals, some stylists may never wish to do makeup outside the salon. If that is you, we offer courses to support your career goals.

We have one-day educational classes for professionals who want to gain additional knowledge in a particular area of makeup artistry. The cost of these courses varies depending on the class subject.

Class Specifications

We offer classes lasting from 3.5 to 5.5 hours (full day). If more extensive training is requested, it can be covered in a week-long program (Crash Course #1).

Depending on your specific needs, we can customize our personal and group training sessions. We also offer group rates for three or more artists from one salon.

Specialized Course for Salon Staff

If you are a salon owner or working in a licensed salon spa and would like customized makeup education for you or your staff, partner with us. We offer courses at our facility or in yours!

We can help set up a makeup bar in your facility, order products, and get your staff working to create a full-service center catering to various events, such as weddings, special celebrations, proms, and more.

Deposit Fee

A $50 deposit per student is required to secure your place in a one day class. This is transferable to another date if you need to cancel. Final payment is due one week prior to the start date of education.

We accept major credit cards, cash, check, and money orders as forms of payment.

The Event License

It is currently still required for licensed beauty professionals in Minnesota who provide makeup services outside the salon environment. Currently, the event license is so you can apply to work your skills outside the salon as a freelance artist doing makeup or camera ready hair only!

NON-Licensed Freelance Artists do not require this event permit, but they do need their mandatory 4 hour sanitation course and PPN to be exempt for BCE oversite! See our sanitation age for more details.

Do I need a License?

While there is NO LICENSE for Makeup in MN or any state, A Non-licensed Freelance Artist can now be hired to do makeup or simple hairstyling in a licensed facility.

Our new bill UNREGULATING those services which was recently passed in 2020 does require your 4 hour sanitation class- along with PPN number.

This class also meet the requirement for any beauty professional, as their required 4-hour Core Sanitation for license renewal

We offer our 130 hour Day course six times a year, beginning the first Monday of the following months:

Course Schedule

Day Course hours (Four Weeks Long)

Monday to Friday: 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM (130 Hours)

Evening/Weekend Course hours Is provided through the CC2B1 & 2 (60 Hours)

This course is for those who can’t attend Day month long. Hours are customized to student/Instructor

Other Reasons We Are Closed

Our school may also be closed due to staff training, inclement weather, and other unscheduled events. For unscheduled school closures, we will not grant credit for clock hours or charge for hours missed.

Faces Etc of MN reserves all rights to our curriculum, and all curriculum is copyrighted and the sole property of Faces Etc of MN, and may not be utilized in any manner outside of their education.
